La Bandera de Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico tiene su propia bandera. El diseño y los colores fueron adoptados en una reunión llevada acabo por patriotas puertorriqueños en Nueva York en el 1895.
La estrella blanca simboliza Puerto Rico. Las esquinas del triángulo azul representan las tres ramas del gobierno, legislativa, ejecutiva y judicial. Las tres franjas rojas simbolizan la sangre que alimenta las ramas del gobierno y las dos franjas blancas representan los derechos del hombre y la libertad del individuo. Fue adoptada como la bandera oficial del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico el 25 de julio de 1952, cuando Puerto Rico también adoptó su propia constitución. |

The Flag of Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico has its own flag. The design and the colors were adopted in a meeting carried I finish for patriotic Puerto Ricans in New York in the 1895. The white star symbolizes Puerto Rico. The corners of the blue triangle represent the three branches of the government, legislative, executive and judicial. The three red stripes symbolize the blood that feeds the branches of the government and the two white stripes represent the rights of the man and the liberty of the individual. It was adopted like the official flag of the Free State Associate of Puerto Rico July 25, 1952, when Puerto Rico also adopted its own constitution. |
