The Mission of La Casa de la Herencia Cultural Puertorriqueña is to promote the literacy and cultural heritage of Puerto Rico through seminars, training and other courses. La Casa also houses a collection of books and other literary items.

La Casa de la Herencia Cultural Puertorriqueña's also serves to preserve and disseminate the rich literary and cultural heritage of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics. This goal is achieved through the implementation of in-house and outreach cultural programs and activities.

Since 1983, we have developed into an effective community resource which has enhanced the knowledge and awareness of Puerto Rican culture within the framework of a multi-cultural society. Its Puerto Rican Heritage Library is a prestigious research center which makes its services available to students at all levels and to the general public.

La Casa seeks to expand its cultural and library related programs and other resources toward the goal of strengthening the awareness of Puerto Rican culture and its preservation. La Casa believes that a solid education in cultural self-identity is an important foundation within a multi-cultural society.
